User-defined image mode and focus settings, lossless digital zoom and superior image quality make the ION L1 Pro the camera of choice in its class for all aspects of aerial photography. A wide range of functions that come in the top-level quality for which Leica is known enable you to fully tap into the photographic potential of the ION L1 Pro. In accordance to Leica’s Lead Motiv “Das Wesentliche”, functions were aligned with what is useful and creates a benefit. The software works now like a photographer is used to. Semi Auto modes, ISO increments or EV intervals were made to feel like a regular camera. The Cruise Control feature keeps the speed of the drone constant, so that you can fully concentrate on your camera shot. With the integrated 3-axis gimbal and the drone’s retractable landing gear, the camera can rotate through 360° unrestrictedly and produce flowing panoramic shots.

The components of the H3 and the L1 Pro are precisely matched to one another and make it possible to take highly detailed, brilliant pictures from the air with the legendary Leica look. Thanks to elaborate analyses and suitably effective stray light suppression, the camera delivers the best possible image results – especially in critical light situations. The technical versatility of the camera offers you a wide range of options for your photographic journey – from automatic exposure bracketing and semi-automatic through to wide dynamic range. Together with Leica, we implemented Y-Log for professional and easy integration of video footage in projects with other image sources. Also the Y-log video material contains significantly better dynamics than standard videos.Leica created high quality ADOBE DNG profiles, based on a holistic image optimization approach – supported as of release 11.3 of Camera Raw software. The profiles include vignetting correction, distortion correction and correction of chromatic aberrations. In addition, the color reproduction has been “measured” and is now very precise with DNGs. The DNG profile is chosen automatically – all you need to do is to install the latest version of Camera RAW.
